Tapada de Coelheiros, in Arraiolos, invites wine enthusiasts and curious visitors to experience one of the most significant moments of the year – the Harvest – in an experience that allows guests to take part in the work in the vineyard, discover the surrounding territory, and learn about the production of its wines.

This Alentejo producer welcomes visitors, starting this week, who want to participate in this program that reveals the art of harvesting, as well as the day-to-day work in the vineyard and cellar during this special time of the year – the Harvest. 

The Tapada de Coelheiros harvest program includes: 

– Maturation Analysis: Observe and understand the different stages of grape maturation, as well as the ideal properties and levels for starting the harvest. Learn from Tapada de Coelheiros’ experienced team about the subtleties that influence the characteristics of wine. 

 

–  Jeep Tour: A tour of the property, where you can observe part of the fauna and flora of Tapada de Coelheiros, as well as some of the methods that promote regenerative, organic, and sustainable agriculture for which the producer is recognized. 

–  Cellar Visit: Observe and learn about the “blank canvas” of winemaker Luís Patrão, as well as the secrets behind the wine-making process. 

–  Wine Tasting: A tasting of 5 wines, paired with a selection of snacks and typical products from the region. 

João Raposeira, responsible for the vineyards and agriculture at Tapada de Coelheiros, says, “We are extremely excited to open the doors of the estate for another year of harvest in Alentejo. Committed to promoting sustainable practices that preserve and enhance our ecosystem, this time of year is an opportunity to celebrate the harmony between nature and human labor, as well as showcase our wines.”

The program costs €70 per person and will be available until September 21.
