Tapada de Coelheiros has just inaugurated ‘TACO’, an exclusive space dedicated to wine and nut tastings, as well as gastronomic experiences. Situated at 300 meters above sea level, this new venue also offers a privileged view of the estate, providing visitors with truly unique moments.

The new space is the result of the restoration of a former hunting retreat—where breaks for a “taco” or “bucha” (a light meal) were traditionally taken—now transformed into a place to celebrate and contemplate nature and its offerings. TACO has become a new gathering and tasting venue: a home where the landscape and regional flavors come together in a welcoming atmosphere to create lasting memories, framed by the breathtaking mosaic of Tapada de Coelheiros.

Ideal for private events, tastings, and special lunches, the space encourages slowing down and discovering. With panoramic views of the estate—vineyards and orchards alike—it provides a sense of serenity and harmony with nature. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces ensure comfort year-round, creating a warm, sophisticated environment that perfectly combines elegance with authenticity. The outdoor area, carefully integrated into the landscape, is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset.

João Raposeira, Agricultural and Sustainability Director at Tapada de Coelheiros, notes:
“This new space celebrates our commitment to combining tradition and innovation, our terroir, and our respect for the land. Our ambition is for TACO to become yet another attraction in this territory for those seeking an authentic experience, deeply connected to the Alentejo.”

Diogo Costeira, Commercial Director, adds:
“This new venue reflects the spirit of Tapada de Coelheiros. Visitors can enjoy walks and picnics among the vineyards, relaxing strolls, lunches at our shop, and now, this new house for an immersive and memorable experience. Here, we can offer new tastings and personalized visits throughout the year, within the unique context of the estate.”

To mark the inauguration, a new experience has been created, lasting approximately three hours. It begins with a guided jeep tour of the estate, followed by a traditional lunch. Visitors can savor typical Alentejo dishes and products, paired with Tapada de Coelheiros’ most exclusive wines. In a welcoming atmosphere with a privileged view of the estate, this is the perfect setting to experience the region’s terroir. The price is €130 per person, and the venue can accommodate up to 40 guests. Tastings and visits are available daily from Monday to Sunday, subject to availability.

With this launch, Tapada de Coelheiros reinforces its commitment to regeneration, highlighting the heritage, nature, and traditions of this unique territory.
